On December 20th, 2017 we have officially inaugurated the new office location in Frankfurt am Main, near the central station. We took advantage of this occasion to hold a workshop on trends and changes in human resources. Experiences from the consulting projects on the topic “Effects of digitization on HR in the chemical industry” were exchanged and discussed together with network partners. The main topics of the discussion were the new digital opportunities in recruiting, the benefits and limitations of HR self-services, and the handling of home-office working days. At the end of the event the future topic “Robotic Process Automation” was discussed. Thanks to the new robotic tools, it is possible to automate transactional processes without great effort. The transfer of information – for example, from an email to SAP and a Word contract template – is nowadays usually done manually and can be automated by using robotic tools. While some participants were rather sceptical about innovative technologies, others reported first pilots using robotic tools in customer projects.
